MECHANISM OF ACTION : CATADICT (clonidine ) belongs to the group of Anti-hypertensive medicines called Alpha-2 agonist .It is used in the management of high blood pressure and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children above 6 years. Clonidine relaxes and widens the blood vessels making it easier for the heart to pump blood to all parts of the body. This helps in decreasing the blood pressure and the risk of having a heart attack or stroke. It also helps in treating ADHD by affecting the part of the brain, which controls impulsivity and attention. .
